Two slalom coaching programmes have released their calendars and programme details for the 2025 winter and 2026 season.
The Slalom School Programme and England White Water Camps are intended to provide a great opportunity for slalom coaching support for those paddlers who are not part of the England Talent Programme.
The England Slalom School Programme is run by the England Slalom Talent Programme and aims to develop paddlers’ technical skills, confidence and fundamental habits to support their long-term progression and enjoyment of the sport.
The programme offers exposure to various moving and white water venues to develop their technical skills, white water confidence and fundamental habits in paddlers and to advance technical knowledge and coaching ability within club coaches.
Slalom Schools also supports coaches, with our Slalom Coach Developer being on hand at identified Slalom School events to provide opportunities and exposures based on the learning needs of attending coaches.
Following a successful year of England white water training camp delivery, and thanks to funding received by the England Canoe Slalom Committee (ECSC), a joint programme of white water training camps for 2025/26 is available to English paddlers which is intended to follow on from the Slalom School Programme.

“Through the generous support of the England Canoe Slalom Committee it is great that there is provision in the form of the England white water training camps for those paddlers who are ready to progress from Slalom Schools.”
