Last week saw the return to training for the canoe sprint squad at the high performance centre in Nottingham, as the 2024/25 season – and LA cycle – begins.
In line with the Paddle UK 2025 Paracanoe and Canoe Sprint World Class Programme qualification policies, the review period will now commence.
The following athletes have met the eligibility criteria to have a more detailed analysis of their performance data and be considered for nomination to a World Class Programme for the 2025 season.
Athletes listed will now be assessed in detail in line with the assessment and nomination process published in the respective policy. Once an analysis of the performance data has been undertaken, then any nominations will be made and announced on Friday 15 November.
Athletes transitioning onto, or from the programme will be contacted by the Performance Director and informed on Friday 8 November
As per section 9 in the policy, exceptional circumstances may be applied for by midday on the 28 October 2024 via email to Chris Furber, Performance Director for paracanoe and canoe sprint. Please ensure you have read the policies in full before applying for exceptional circumstances.
