Paddle UK and Holme Pierrepont Country Park are joining together for ‘Picnic at Pierrepont’ on the last weekend of the Paralympic Games.
On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September we will be celebrating the Paracanoe finals at the Paralympic Games in Paris.
Did you know eight out of the nine athletes representing Paralympics GB train at Holme Pierrepont, so this is a wonderful opportunity to support them all!
Emma Wiggs MBE, Charlotte Henshaw MBE, Laura Sugar MBE, Robert Oliver, Dave Phillipson, Hope Gordon, Jack Eyers, Ed Clifton and Jeanette Chippington OBE, will all be battling it out for medals in Paris.
Over the weekend, all country park activities will be open as usual, and they are putting on some exciting discounts on Lagoon activities.
Look out for more details on the Holme Pierrepont Country Park website.
There will also be the Sprint Regatta event on the Regatta Lake and a large screen broadcasting live coverage of the Paracanoe finals.
And that’s not it! There is action on the white water course, with the Freestyle British Championships and kayak cross racing.
Why not bring family and friends, a picnic and enjoy the weekend!
