Five of Great Britain’s ocean racing paddlers have ended the 2024 season on a high, achieving remarkable results in some of the world’s most iconic ocean racing events.
Competing against strong international fields, five British athletes showcased their skills across races in Australia, South Africa, and Hong Kong.
Terry Miller excelled during Western Australia Race Week in Perth, claiming 1st place in the U18 category in every race he entered.
His triumphs culminated in victory at the renowned Doctor race, where he not only dominated his age group but also placed an impressive 32nd overall.
Jon White, GB para-athlete, competed in both the Dragon Run in Hong Kong and the series of races during Western Australia Race Week, including the Doctor race.
Meanwhile, in South Africa, Rosie Edwards delivered a great performance by winning the women’s overall title at the Cape Point Challenge, a 54km race that takes competitors around the iconic Cape Point in Cape Town.
In the mixed doubles category at the Cape Point Challenge, Brynde Kraft partnered with Peter Cole to claim victory over the weekend.
Rounding off the impressive results, Ant Lake celebrated his first top-ten finish in the senior men’s singles at the Cape Point Challenge.
